There are two objectives: to store billions of files and to serve the files fast! Instead of supporting full POSIX file system semantics, SeaweedFS choose to implement only a key/file mapping, but it provides a hierarchical filer frontend, too. SeaweedFS started by implementing Facebook's Haystack design paper. It grows with more features along the way. SeaweedFS knows about three server roles: "filter" (hierarchical tree storage frontend server), "master" (volume managing server) and "volume" (data storage server). %track prog seaweedfs:base = { version = %{V_seaweedfs_base} url = https://github.com/chrislusf/seaweedfs/releases regex = (\d+\.\d+)\.tar\.gz } prog seaweedfs:snap = { version = %{V_seaweedfs_snap} url = http://download.openpkg.org/components/versioned/seaweedfs/ regex = seaweedfs-(__VER__)\.tar\.xz } %prep %setup -q -n seaweedfs %build # build program ( export GOPATH=`pwd` cd $GOPATH/src/github.com/chrislusf/seaweedfs/weed go build -v -o weed ) || exit $? %install # create directory hierarchy %{l_shtool} mkdir -f -p -m 755 \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/sbin \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/etc/rc.d \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/etc/seaweedfs \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/var/seaweedfs/run \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/var/seaweedfs/log \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/var/seaweedfs/db # install program %{l_shtool} install -c -s -m 755 \ src/github.com/chrislusf/seaweedfs/weed/weed \ $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/sbin/ # install run-command script %{l_shtool} install -c -m 755 %{l_value -s -a} \ %{SOURCE rc.seaweedfs} $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/etc/rc.d/ # install server configuration %{l_shtool} install -c -m 644 %{l_value -s -a} \ %{SOURCE seaweedfs.conf} $RPM_BUILD_ROOT%{l_prefix}/etc/seaweedfs/ # determine installation files %{l_rpmtool} files -v -ofiles -r$RPM_BUILD_ROOT \ %{l_files_std} \ '%config %{l_prefix}/etc/seaweedfs/*' \ '%attr(-,%{l_rusr},%{l_rgrp}) %{l_prefix}/var/seaweedfs/*' \ '%attr(-,%{l_rusr},%{l_rgrp}) %{l_prefix}/var/seaweedfs/*/*' %files -f files %clean %post # after upgrade, restart service [ $1 -eq 2 ] || exit 0 eval `%{l_rc} seaweedfs status 2>/dev/null` [ ".$seaweedfs_active" = .yes ] && %{l_rc} seaweedfs restart exit 0 %preun # before erase, stop service and remove log files [ $1 -eq 0 ] || exit 0 %{l_rc} seaweedfs stop 2>/dev/null rm -rf $RPM_INSTALL_PREFIX/var/seaweedfs/log/* >/dev/null 2>&1 || true rm -rf $RPM_INSTALL_PREFIX/var/seaweedfs/run/* >/dev/null 2>&1 || true rm -rf $RPM_INSTALL_PREFIX/var/seaweedfs/db/* >/dev/null 2>&1 || true exit 0
