  46. SWIG is an interface compiler that connects programs written in
  47. C, C++, and Objective-C with scripting languages including Perl,
  48. Python, and Tcl/Tk. It works by taking the declarations commonly
  49. found in C/C++ header files and using them to generate the glue code
  50. (wrappers) that scripting languages need to access the underlying
  51. C/C++ code.
