  46. %description
  47. Lout is a document formatting system which offers an unprecedented
  48. range of advanced features, including optimal paragraph breaking,
  49. automatic hyphenation, PostScript EPS file inclusion and generation,
  50. equation formatting, tables, diagrams, rotation and scaling, sorted
  51. indexes, bibliographic databases, running headers and odd-even
  52. pages, automatic cross referencing, multilingual documents including
  53. hyphenation (most European languages are supported, including
  54. Russian), formatting of C/C++ programs, and much more, all ready to
  55. use. Furthermore, Lout is easily extended with definitions which are
  56. very much easier to write than troff of TeX macros because Lout is a
  57. high-level language, the outcome of an eight-year research project
  58. that went back to the beginning.
